1. Easter Basket
You can’t make an Easter basket without a basket, of course. So here are a few cute options for your little one.
2. Easter Bunny
Any soft and cuddly stuffed animal is always a classic in every easter basket. Choose something Easter-inspired, such as a plush Easter bunny, carrot, chick, or a cute lamb. Your little one will love any of these perfect companions for imaginative play and bedtime cuddles.
3. Plastic Easter Eggs
Use large plastic Easter eggs that are easy for your little one’s hands to grasp. Fill them with items such as their favorite healthy snack, age-appropriate small toys, small stuffed animals, fisher price little people, stickers, silk scarves, sparkle ribbons, confetti, crackers, and bouncy balls.
A great alternative to fillable plastic Easter eggs is these wooden musical percussion instrument eggs that are made of sustainable wood and are ideal for rhythm development. The design captures their attention and keeps them engaged. Theyโre great for fine motor skills and coordination.
4. Bath Toys
Many bath toys allow your little one to grasp, squeeze, and manipulate objects. This helps improve hand-eye coordination and muscle control. Below are a few of our favorite options. You can never go wrong with bath toys for your little one; bath toys have several benefits for your baby, including:
- Help improve eye-hand coordination and fine motor skills
- Sensory exploration
- Cognitive development

- Relaxation
I will link a few favorites below!
5. Sticker Book
What little one doesnโt like stickers? Lucky for us, stickers are another great way to develop fine motor skills and are a fun activity for kids. My 1-year-old loves sticker books! She loves putting them on and peeling them off things. She owns several sticker books; our favorites are the reusable ones, and she loves to stick them on windows around her playroom! 10/10 recommend. This will make a fun Easter basket Idea for any little one. I will link a few options below.
6. Easter Board Book
Little ones love books! Especially ones with bright colors that attract their attention. An Easter book is great for kids of all ages. They instruct young children in the mechanics of reading. They will learn how a book is held and how the pages are turned. Reading to your child daily benefits them in several ways, such as;
- Literary development
- Language development
- Visual development
- Fine motor skills and engagement
Your little one will love these Easter-inspired books!
7. Teething Toys
At this age, your little one still has a few months until all his teeth come out. These adorable Easter teething toys will make a great addition to their Easter basket!
8. Bunny Pawprints (Easter Egg Hunt)
Adding bunny pawprints to their Easter basket to create a simple yet fun Easter egg hunt for your little one is a great way to get them involved. Especially if your son isnโt walking yet. He’ll love following the bunny prints leading to their eggs. You can purchase bunny paw prints linked above, or you can make your own. Here is a great post to give you an idea of how to set up an easy Easter egg hunt for your little one to enjoy.
9. Chocolate Bunnies
Chocolate bunnies are always a classic Easer basket idea, but if youโd rather not have your little one eat a piece of candy at this age, there are other options! Such as these chocolate bunny snacks your little one will enjoy! Or you can simply go with their favorite snacks!
10. Bubbles
What little one doesnโt like bubbles regardless of their age? Your 1-year-old will enjoy holding the wand and blowing bubbles. This is such a simple yet effective way for your baby to develop fine motor skills. Other skills bubbles can teach:
- Gross motor skills (by crawling, chasing, and catching bubbles).
- Cognitive skills
- Oral motor skills
- Language and communication
- Sensory play
- Spatial awareness
11. Sensory Ball
A sensory ball is made from various materials and/or textures; they are a great way to stimulate babiesโ senses and promote their development. They help babies develop tactile and color awareness as well as visual tracking. It also helps develop their hand-eye coordination, balance, and muscle strength.
Appropriate stimulation is key for growth and development, and sensory balls are an easy way to stimulate your little one. I found a great post from Edushape that gives you 10 different activities to help stimulate your little one. You can find it here. I will also link a couple of great options you can add to your 1-year-old Easter basket that theyโll be sure to love.
12. Swim Set
Depending on the weather where you live, it could be the perfect time to go swimming. An adorable swim set like this one would be a perfect addition to your 1-year-old Easter basket.
13. Water Shoes
You canโt get a cute swimsuit without getting some sandals/swim shoes to go with it!

This cute duck baby towel will be the perfect addition alongside baby’s swimsuit!
15. Cute Outfit
Any cute outfit will do!
16. Card Game
Okay, so not necessarily a card game since there aren’t much available at this age, but cards! Introducing flashcards to your little one helps with,
- Fine motor skills
- Stimulates thinking for themselves
- Cognitive development
- Confidence-based repetition
Focus on age-appropriate cards; I will link some options below!
17. Sidewalk Chalk
Even at age one, sidewalk chalk can help children with color recognition, build their fine motor skills, and develop creativity. Sidewalk chalk is a must for any 1-year-old’s Easter basket! This egg-shaped chalk would go perfectly in your baby’s basket!
18. Bath Crayons
Just like bath toys, bath crayons will be a big hit on Easter. However, not all bath crayons are created equal! I donโt recommend the Crayola brand crayons simply because they can stain if you donโt wash them off soon after. With any bath crayon however, I do recommend you wash the area before taking your little one out of the bath or shortly after. This is to avoid stains of any kind on your tubs. Regardless, little one’s love using bath crayons, and they can get as creative as they can without the mess!
19. Bath Color Drops/Lab
We love using color drops in our daughtersโ baths; they love them! They have a lot of fun exploring with colors and watching them mix in water. I paired bath color drops with a kid’s water lab, and they were entertained for so long! It was easier to do this in the bath since it was so easy to wash off. I highly recommend pairing these two items for your 1-year-old’s Easter basket. Rest assured; they will never get tired of playing with them.
20. Training Cup
At 1 year of age is usually when babies start transitioning out of their bottles. A training cup is the perfect addition to your little ones’ Easter Basket. We love the Elk and Friends stainless steel cups I linked above.
21. Dump Truck
Most children, especially boys, love everything that goes! The act of pushing, pulling, and turning a toy car/ truck aids in the development of your little one’s dexterity, muscle strength, and motor skills. This is why a toy car/dump truck is a great addition to any Easter basket. My daughters especially love their Little People dump truck; it is a toy that is played with every day. And as a mama, you already know the same cannot be said for every toy, which makes this toy a must-have!
22. Art Supplies
Getting creative with your little one starts at any age! And we both know kids love to get messy any time. Art supplies are a simple yet very much-loved Easter basket idea for any little one. Washable finger paint, paint brushes, playdough, pom poms, sponges, jumbo crayons, and markers are all great options to get creative with your 1-year-old.
23. Green Toys Wagon
If you decide you want to go a little extra for your little one and don’t want to use a traditional Easter basket, then I have a great alternative for you! This Green Toy Wagon would make the perfect Easter basket! Just add all your other Easter gift ideas here! It’s chunky, sturdy, and durable! Itโs the perfect size for little ones to haul around their most prized possessions! Itโs another must-have for your little one!
24. Water Bottle
As a parent, you need all the water bottles you can get. Itโs an item you will use daily for your little one. I will link one of our favorites here!
25. Educational Toys
Educational toys are our favorite kind of toys, and for a good reason, too! They foster cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development in a fun and engaging way. There are so many options, but I will link a few simple ones below.
26. Carrots Harvest Game
This age-appropriate small toy will pair perfectly in your son’s Easter basket. Your child will improve their logic and size sorting skills in a fun way. It will also help them with fine motor skills as they try to insert the carrots back into the void and expand their problem-solving capabilities. See below
27. Imaginative Play Toys
An imaginative play toy is any toy that encourages imaginative/pretend play. Anything from playing dress up, role play toys, play food, construction toys, blocks, clay, and dollhouses! I know some of these may seem like much as an Easter basket filler, but a perfect open-play toy that is on the top of my list and always will be is our Sarah silks! My daughters each have their silks, and the imaginative play with these is endless! For reference I have a 3-year-old and a 1-year-old, and they both love to wear them as capes, use them as blankets for their dolls, etc. These are also the perfect size for your little ones’ Easter baskets! See below!
28. Plates and Utensils
With baby eating solids already stocking up on plates and utensils is a good idea. I have tried several brands and types of plates but settled with Elk and Friends. I really love all their stuff, especially their plates and cups since they have stainless steel and ceramic options. For a 1-year-old however, I do not recommend ceramic. My 1-year-old has a tendency to throw her cups and plates so at this age I highly recommend stainless steel. I have tried silicone plates, but they always ended up absorbing the soap taste. I hated them. We now use stainless steel cups and plates, and I am never looking back! I will link the exact ones I have below.
29. Photo Book
A photo book is always one of those fun items at this age; essentially, itโs just a small photo album of the entire family. Trust me when I say theyโll really enjoy looking at the photos and pointing out your whole family. It was a big hit with my 1-year-old. Photos help your baby form ideas about people, places, and things they don’t always see. I will link a couple of options below.
30. Easter Gel Clings
I don’t know about your kiddos but mine love using gel clings. They’re an inexpensive way to keep your little one engaged. They are a must-have in their Easter basket!
Easter is the perfect time to shower your little one with love, laughter, and thoughtful surprises. These 30 fun Easter basket ideas for 1-year-old boys offer something for every little one, whether they love cuddly toys, sensory play, or interactive books. By choosing age-appropriate and safe gifts, youโre not just filling their basket; youโre creating moments that spark joy and fuel curiosity.
Remember, itโs not about the cost or size of the basket; itโs about the smiles that come with it. So, get creative, mix and match these ideas, and watch your little boy’s eyes light up with wonder this Easter!
